How do you describe it? My style of music is house and I explore it’s sub-genres a lot, especially melodic soulful house is close to my heart. My music always has a little story or message to tell.S&S: Who or what was most instrumental to you when it came to music? Most instrumental artist for me has definitely been Prince. His music was, is, and continues to be very inspiring to me. His art is timeless.S&S: What drives you creatively? I like to think that making my music is a journey, always something new coming along. That brings excitement and keeps creativity flowing, as my journey goes on and I grow as an artist along with it.S&S: How much does your audience influence you and your music selection? I want to connect with my audience and music has the power to unite people, therefore I wish to present to my audience music that moves them in different ways, creating an experience, generating feelings.S&S: What artists or genres do you listen to when you’re not working? I listen to a lot of house music, disco, soul, funk, and jazz, those genres just give me that special feel-good vibes.S&S: Do you have any favorite memories of growing up with your family? I come from a family of musicians, both my parents were professional musicians and my most favorite memories are connected to the moments when we watched music shows and competitions from tv together as a family and of course when I got to see my parents performing live gigs, that was very exciting for me as a kid.S&S: Is there anything you would like people to know about you? Yes, I stand strong behind the songs that I write, compose, and perform. They very often have a real story behind then that inspired my creativity. So my songs are a good reflection of me and my personality.S&S: Are there any charities you are working with or excited to tell us about? Animals and environmental protection are close to my heart. I am a big supporter of sustainable lifestyle choices, and my activities of charity are directed to that. We gotta take good care of our earth, our home, every day.S&S: Are there any questions that you wish people would ask you? Well, it’s off the music topic, but I promote a healthy lifestyle and wellness and do like to share my thoughts and ideas on that in different levels, whether physical, emotional, or spiritual. When we feel good, it shows and affects positively to others and to your environment too.S&S: And on the flip side of that, are there any questions or references you wish people would stop asking or using? Yes, I am an artist, singer-songwriter, and all my songs reflect something of me, as being my creations, also when doing collaborations. Therefore I do not prefer to see myself referred to as a feature. There is a profound difference of being an artist compared to being singer, you know.S&S: What artist(s) have you been the most excited to work with? I have to say that I have been blessed to work with wonderful different artists and producers, and been exited to work with all of them. Each brings something new on my musical journey.S&S: Are there any artists that you dream of working with on a collaboration? There are so many great amazing producers and singers that I find it hard to narrow it down, but working with Chaka Khan would be a dream come true, that would blow my mind.S&S What advice would you give to an aspiring artist? Do you. Find your niche and work on your talent, your instrument, your skillset. Be persistent and consistent. Collaborate but don’t lose yourself. You are unique, it’s your strength.S&S: What can we look forward to next from you? I got hot new music coming for 2020, both original Heidi B solo- tracks and some lovely collaborations, I invite you to join me on my musical journey!
