George Andros or Georgie Porgie or GP as he is known across the globe, is no exception. An accomplished DJ, Artist, hot singer songwriter, record producer, an independent dance music recording mogul and one of the hottest dance-music remixers to emanate out of Chicago, Illinois. There is no disputing the fact that Georgie Porgie is a multi-talented international recording star who owns the longest running dance label in America! Georgie’s contributions to the Dance industry earned him the title of “The Ambassador of Dance Music.” Billboard Magazine in 2010 named Georgie Top 10 Dance artist of the decade. He has had over 25 #1 records in over 18 countries and has sold millions of records through out his career! Georgie has produced and remixed some of music’s most prolific names including Michael Jackson, Spice Girls, Janet Jackson, Crystal Waters, Spice Girls, Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly, Linda Clifford, The Chi-lites feat. Marshal Thompson and Suzanne Palmer to name a few. His own productions like “Life Goes On”, “Love Is Gonna Save The Day”, “Sunshine”, “Can You Feel The Sound” and many more have earned him Global success! S&S: What’s your style of music? How do you describe it?
Georgie Porgie: House Music! My House music is chunky, melodic, happy with great soul. It is timeless with a tremendous amount of LOVE!S&S: Who or what was most instrumental to you when it came to music?
Georgie Porgie: Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Earth Wind and Fire made me dream
my reality today.S&S: What drives you creatively?
Georgie Porgie: Great music, Art, Family, Friends, everyday day life inspires my creativity.S&S: How much does your audience influence you and your music selection?
Georgie Porgie: 100%! Once I step onto a stage to DJ or sing, I am always mindful that the audience is there to be entertained.S&S: What artists or genres do you listen to when you’re not working?
Georgie Porgie: Almost everything. I like R&B. HIPHOP, Classic Rock, Spanish (Salsa, Merengue, Etc.), Gospel and many more genres. I love music!S&S: Do you have any favorite memories of growing up with your family?
Georgie Porgie: It would have to be when my parents bought a sound system for the house. I thought I had won the lottery. What made this sound system so special is it came with a microphone that was recordable. I had my 1st studio. Watch Out World!S&S: Is there anything you would like people to know about you?
Georgie Porgie: I live my life with Empathy and Love! Two things desperately needed today.S&S: Are there any charities you are working with or excited to tell us about?
Georgie Porgie: I am proud to host an Annual Food Drive every year to support Battered Woman and Children and various Chicago pantries. To date we have fed 42,000 families.S&S: Are there any questions that you wish people would ask you?
Georgie Porgie: ?S&S: And on the flip side of that, are there any questions or references you wish people would stop asking or using?
Georgie Porgie: At this point in my life, I am good with it all…. when you have learned to love yourself 100% there is not much that can penetrate.S&S: What artist(s) have you been the most excited to work with?
Georgie Porgie: Michael Jackson was a huge Blessing! I remember getting the multitrack and playing it in various ways. It had to be over 50 times. (Acca with Kick, Acca with bass and the list went on…lol)S&S: Are there any artists that you dream of working with on a collaboration?
Georgie Porgie: I still would like to work with Stevie Wonder, Madonna, Cher, Prince along with some newer artists such as Adel, Rihanna to name a few.S&S: What can we look forward to next from you?
Georgie Porgie: I am ready to do television and film. I believe I have more to offer the Universe. It just feels like the next chapter for me.S&S: What legacy would you like to leave?
Georgie Porgie: My legacy would be that I did my part to help feeding people in their moment of need. A very small part in a much larger epidemic of what society faces today.
