    Q&A by S&S

S&S: What’s your style of music? How do you describe it?

S&S: Who or what was most instrumental to you when it came to music?
I was born into a family full of musicians. But my mother has always been my biggest support

S&S: What drives you creatively? Actually, it all depends on my mood but it has to be quality

S&S: How much does your audience influence you and your music selection?
I always try to present the diversity of my creation to the audience. I don’t have a target audience. What is good will come to a good listener.

S&S: What artists or genres do you listen to when you’re not working?
I love listening to live concerts, soul, hip hop, blues, jazz, and chill music.
From Chaka Chan to Anderson Peek and some newer performers.

S&S: Do you have any favorite memories of growing up with your family?
In my early youth my first violin concerto when I was 6 years old. After the birth of my first, second and third daughter.

S&S: Is there anything you would like people to know about you?
    I really like black humor.

S&S: Are there any charities you are working with or excited to tell us about?
That through the years of playing percussion, I also run a workshop with children with special needs. That is my satisfaction.
S&S: Are there any questions that you wish people would ask you?
    Less questions, more music.

S&S: And on the flip side of that, are there any questions or references you wish people would stop asking or using?
Questions like, when will something new come from you ?! Because making music is not the same as making bread. No prescription.

S&S: What artist(s) have you been the most excited to work with?
Oh, there are a lot of them, but the most significant in my career so far are – Steve Silk Hurley, DJ Skip, Ronn, Shalamar Friends, Gucci Mane, Khao, Jerry Ropero, etc ..

S&S: Are there any artists that you dream of working with on a collaboration?
I would love to meet and work with some great producer. Such as Jean Michele Jarre, Peter Gabriel, etc. I also have a great desire to work with Erykah Badu.

S&S What advice would you give to an aspiring artist?
If you have an idea and a vision then there is no listening to the surrounding voices. When you think you can’t, that’s when you have to work and give yourself 110%!

S&S: What can we look forward to next from you?
I don’t know but it’s sure to be Fat.
