    Paul Anthony of Gettoblaster – “I Wish People Would Stop Saying (You’re Lucky)”

    With his original roots growing from Chicago’s warehouse scene in the 90’s Paul has managed to get himself on some of the worlds most renowned record labels, working with some of the largest artists in the music industry. Techno/House/Electro/ Future Ghetto would be the sound of this global star.

    Originating from Chicago, this incerdible artist has his roots deeply set as a man who has worked with nearly all the legends…. remixing everyone from DJ Skip Feat. Shalamar, Malik Yusef Feat. Kanye West, Common & JV, Cece Peniston and the likes of Kevin Saunderson (inner city) to getting support from laurent Garnier, and Dave Clark. Being featured on Tiesto’s radio show, Laidback Lukes FG radio mixes numerous times…. to wolfgang Gartners Essential mix.

    Paul is no stranger from main stream to the depths of the underground this man has been all across the boards for years… Jumping from continent to continent, City to City Paul hardly ever slows down to reflect on what has been accomplished over the years…. House and all of it’s sub genres is what your gonna hear from this man…… One of the true underground superstars…..>

    S&S: What’s your style of music? How do you describe it?
    Paul Anthony: Future Ghetto….. original ghetto house influenced deep house and “jack”

    S&S:    Who or what was most instrumental to you when it came to music?
    Paul Anthony: Steve “Silk” Hurley, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Bad Boy Bill… are pretty
    much the first producers/ dj’s I heard of on WBMX .

    S&S:    What drives you creatively?
    Paul Anthony: great gigs – new shoes – and funktion one

    S&S:    How much does your audience influence you and your music selection?
    Paul Anthony:  I will always play a floor with what I have in my record box. Yes I
    play what I want but I cherry pick through the shit I got to cater to
    makin girls shake their asses… dudes are like sheep they follow…follow
    vagina… so make the girls happy everyone is happy no matter what genre
    you do.

    S&S:    What artists or genres do you listen to when you’re not working?
    Paul Anthony: I listen to house music all the time… and I like oldschool Hip Hop

    S&S:    Do you have any favorite memories of growing up with your family?
    Paul Anthony: The first time I came home with thousands of dollars from touring… my
    mother couldn’t believe I made that much money playing music…so she
    thought I was a drug dealer.

    S&S:    Is there anything you would like people to know about you?
    Paul Anthony: I invented the poop selfie. I am the best lookin Chubby guy you will
    ever meet.

    S&S:    Are there any charities you are working with or excited to tell us about?
    Paul Anthony: Right now I am building a documentry about Heroin and how it kills
    people. But in the past I have spent holidays feeding homeless people, and
    donating time to abused childern that need a friend.

    S&S:    Are there any questions that you wish people would ask you?
    Paul Anthony:  I wish people asked me about normal shit like… whats kinda food do
    you like… what do you do for fun…. non music related stuff…. I feel
    if you follow me you know the music shit.

    S&S:    And on the flip side of that, are there any questions or references you wish people would stop asking or using?
    Paul Anthony: I wish people would stop saying ” You’re Lucky ” after asking me
    questions… I put in thousands of hours of work…. consistency and hard
    work is not “Luck” It is getting out what I put in…. “calculated if you
    will.

    S&S:    What artist(s) have you been the most excited to work with?
    Paul Anthony: Man….hard question….I am always honored to work with the
    Legends… Steve “Silk” Hurley…. Farley “Jackmaster” Funk, Robert Armani, Kevin
    Saunderson as Inner City… Dajae…

    S&S:    Are there any artists that you dream of working with on a collaboration?
    Paul Anthony: There is a long list of people I would like to work with next on my
    list is Paul Johnson… him and I have shared the main satge together…

    Paul Anthony: I just want my music to live forever… I want people to say when I am
    gone… that crazy motherfucker has changed my life…. I would be cool
    with that
