    Mauritzio Baiocchi – “Every Day There Is Something That Reminds Me Of Where I Come From”

    S&S: What’s your style of music? How do you describe it?
    Mauritzio: I personally love everything ‘that makes me move musically and atmospherically, my style is a fusion of House / Soul / AfroHouse / Deep / Acid and electronics, Dark and solar. I Started DJing at the end of the 80 ,then passed through many musical genres that actually make my style … hip hop / AcidJazz / House / Deep / Techno / Garage / Fusion and all about ..

    S&S: Who or what was most instrumental to you when it came to music?
    Mauritzio: I believe that the true feelings and real sensations are the decisive about music.

    S&S: What drives you creatively?
    Mauritzio: love and work for the Dance Music.

    S&S: How much does your audience influence you and your music selection?
    Mauritzio: Your state of mind and that of the public are fundamental in music selection and tracks sequence of a set, and I personally find exciting searching ways of matching them.

    S&S: What artists or genres do you listen to when you’re not working?
    Mauritzio: Always searching the right song at the right moment are too many, Pat Metheny, Fela Kuti, Alexander O’neill, Herbie Hancock, Quincy, Pino Daniele, Vangelis, Eagles, Johnny Cash, Chaka, Stevie Wonder,Eric-B, Anyway- deep soul jazz Fusion and Pop classics that i don’t know the name.

    S&S: Do you have any favorite memories of growing up with your family?
    Mauritzio: I do not like to talk much about my personal life, I can say that every day there is something that reminds me of where I come from, and who i am, so thank’s to my brother “Piovra” My Mother My Father and my Love-Partner “Lally” and sure My Dog Minnye, i love you all.

    S&S: Is there anything you would like people to know about you?
    Mauritzio: I do not know

    S&S: Are there any charities you are working with or excited to tell us about?
    Mauritzio: No

    S&S: Are there any questions that you wish people would ask you?
    Mauritzio: Sometimes I can think of some questions, but always forget. Anyway an Intelligent Question !:)

    S&S: And on the flip side of that, are there any questions or references you wish people would stop asking or using?
    Mauritzio: Too Information in my head , always forget ..sure not a list of my favorite 1/5 or 10 tracks of my life 🙂

    S&S: What artist(s) have you been the most excited to work with?
    Mauritzio: Stefano DiNicola , Peter and Paul Micioni , Biagio Pagano (R.I.P), Eric Daniel , Orlando “Levern” Johnson , Phil Clary, Frank Minoia.

    S&S: Are there any artists that you dream of working with on a collaboration?
    Mauritzio: All those that life will take me to work .. I definitely wanted to spend a day as a spectator in the recording studio with Frankie Knuckles in the early 90s, so also with all the dance pioneers.

    S&S: What can we look forward to next from you?
    Mauritzio: I love being in my studio to experiment and search for the right chemistry that makes me feel good, so I love to do as a DJ in the evenings to try to bring the right feel, many thing growing up .

    S&S: What legacy would you like to leave?
    Mauritzio: My Music
