    Q&A with S&S

S&S: What’s your style of music? How do you describe it?
Julius The Mad Thinker: Global Soul – Dance music fused with organic instruments, sometimes vocals, and electronic elements that range from 115 to 126 beats per minute

S&S: Who or what was most instrumental to you when it came to music?
Julius The Mad Thinker: Michael Jackson, Prince, Metallica, Janes Addiction & Lil Louis

    S&S: What drives your creatively?
    Julius The Mad Thinker: Life

S&S: How much does your audience influence you and your music selection?
Julius The Mad Thinker: Not very much – My music buying process is based on searching for music that blows me away. As a DJ, my job is to present that music.
I specialize in making people dance to music that they have probably never heard.

S&S: What artists or genres do you listen to when you’re not working?
Julius The Mad Thinker: I listen to house, hip hop, soul, rock, jazz, pop anything interesting. I love music

S&S: Do you have any favorite memories of growing up with your family?
Julius The Mad Thinker: Yes. When I was 13, I didn’t make my baseball leagues all-star team. Disappointed beyond belief, when I got home from finding out, I walked into the kitchen and on the table was a baseball shaped flower pot with a note on it that read “you are still an all-star to me” signed by my mother.
My family has always supported and inspired us.

S&S: Is there anything you would like people to know about you?
Julius The Mad Thinker: I’m rooting for you to succeed.

S&S: Are there any charities you are working with or excited to tell us about?
Julius The Mad Thinker: BCRF – Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Each year, our event production (http://micasaholiday.com) donates and supports
BCRF through an all female artist event called It’s her turn.

S&S: Are there any questions that you wish people would ask you?
Julius The Mad Thinker: Why did you choose to focus on event production for years rather than music production?

S&S: And on the flip side of that, are there any questions or references you wish people would stop asking or using?
Julius The Mad Thinker: Not in particular

S&S: What artist(s) have you been the most excited to work with?
Julius The Mad Thinker: Kaye Fox / Russoul / Lil Louis / Emmaculate

S&S: Are there any artists that you dream of working with on a collaboration?
In no apparent order – Pharrell / Prince / Perry Farrel / Stevie Wonder

S&S: What can we look forward to next from you?
Julius The Mad Thinker: An exciting Mi Casa Holiday Season and epic original music production

S&S: What legacy would you like to leave?
Julius The Mad Thinker: A man who inspired people and helped them get to places they never believed possible.
