UpYerRonson – Day & Night Terrace Party (U.K) 05/27/17

UpYerRonson – Day & Night Terrace Party (U.K) 05/27/17

UpYerRonson is back with a HUGE line-up to entertain you with at our infamous Day & Night Terrace Partying at Mint Warehouse.

We have been working tirelessly behind the scenes for months to secure the services of three DJ’s who have played a seminal role in the birth of House Music….

STEVE “SILK” HURLEY (S&S Chicago)
‘Jack Your Body’ / ‘The Word Is Love’

The words legend and pioneer are used all too often to describe DJ’s & Producers these days. But Steve “Silk” Hurley deserves all the accolades he receives. He’s the man who introduced House Music to the UK mainstream when his release ‘Jack Your Body’ hit number 1 in the UK charts back in 1987. Since then, he has gone on to produce countless dancefloor classics, including ‘The Word Is Love’ as well as remixing some of the biggest hits of the 90’s such as Jomanda’s ‘Got A Love For You’ and the Hacienda classic by Roberta Flack ‘Uh-Uh Ooh-Ooh Look Out (Here It Comes)’.

So to have this true pioneer and legend of the House Music scene making a rare visit to the UK to play for us at UpYerRonson is a huge honor and we can’t wait to hear him perform an exclusive classics set spaninng 30 years of house music.

VICTOR SIMONELLI (NYC)
‘Feel So Right’ / ‘Do You Feel Me’

Joining Steve “Silk” Hurley on the decks is another DJ/Producer/Remixer legend who has played an intergral part in the history of House Music. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Victor graduated from the ‘Centre For Media Arts’ just as Disco was fading out and House Music was becoming the new sound of the clubs. He was mentored in the studio by the likes of Clivilles & Cole, Danny Krivit & Junior Vaszquez and went on to produce some of the biggest records of the early 90’s including ‘Feels So Right’ & ‘I Want You To Know’. His trademark NY house sound has made him one of New Yorks finest and most prolific DJ’s and we are excited to have him come and lay down some classic NY beats that will take the party to another level!

NICK HUSSEY (DEFECTED RECORDS)
Nick Hussey feat. Rachel McFarlane ‘Let Nothing’

Last but by no means least, we have Nick Hussey who has been around as long as UpYerRonson. In fact, Nick use to come and play for us in the early 90’s so he knows what needs to be done to rock a party!! Heralding from across the pennines in Manchester, the birthplace of the legendary Hacienda club, it was invevitable that Nick would have house music in his DNA. I think anyone who was brought up around the time of the Acid House phenomenom in the late 80’s, early 90’s would be in a priviledged position to take what they had experienced onto the dancefloor and into the recording studio to showcase their talent. And that’s exactly what Nick Hussey has done.

Former head honcho of the worldwide History of House parties, Nick has DJ’d all over the world and he’s been a stalwart of the Manchester club scene for over 2 decades and has evolved and moved with the ever changing sounds and styles of house music. His production skills got him signed to one of the biggest labels in dance music, Defected Records, who are behind the famous Glitterbox parties in Ibiza. Nick will be digging deep into the vaults to play a set filled with past present & future classics and we can’t wait to have him backl!!

Joining their special guest DJ’s will be their talented residents Marshall, Paul Murray, Andy Ward & Neil Metzner. These boys have been mixing some of the best house music seamlessly together for over 25 years and have played alongside every big name DJ you can think of. They are the reason why the UpYerRonson parties are consistently good and it’s a testament to them all that they still get a buzz out of playing as much as they did when they first played for UpYerRonson in the early 1990’s.

Every party they have done since relaunching the brand back in August 2014 at The Faversham has gone from strength to strength and something tells me this one is going to be the best yet!

See you on the terrace for some outdoor raving in the (hopefully) sunshiiiiiiiine!
